In the last Seventies of last century, Shrigonda a rural area was suffering from poverty illiteracy, drought & unemployment. The basic cause of all these problems was rightly identified by Late. Shivajirao (Bapu) Nagawade (Ex.MLA President of Maharashtra State Cooperative Sugar Association ),a leader of co-operation movement and great visionary . he established Shrigonda Co-operative sugar factory in 1971.He converted his thought into reality by creating educational and training facilities . For this he founded Shri. Chattrapati Shivaji Shikshan Sanstha , Dnyandeep Shikshan Sanstha to provide education to students of poor farmer.

By taking the guidance of Hon. Shivajirao(Bapu) Nagawade ,Shri. Rajendra(dada) Nagawade (Chairman, SSNN Cooperative sugar factory ltd. & Member of Maharashtra state board of Higher Secondary Education, Pune ) is working hard for further development .He has also established Tulajabhavani Seva Pratisthan Trust in year 2000.
